Norwayne Cheerleading Tryouts for the upcoming season are officially here!
Whether you’re a seasoned flyer or new to the mat, we want to see your Blue and Yellow pride.
Tryouts will be held on the following dates:
Tuesday, May 12th & Wednesday, May 13th
Tuesday, May 19th & Wednesday, May 20th
Time: 3:45 PM – 5:30 PM
Before you hit the mats, make sure you are cleared to play!
No student will be permitted to try out without completed paperwork.
Physical Exam Form and Concussion Form
All forms must be uploaded to Final Forms prior to the first day of tryouts on May 12th.
What to Wear/Bring
Comfortable athletic wear (Blue and Yellow encouraged!)
Cheer shoes or athletic sneakers
Water bottle
A positive, "Cobra Strike" attitude!
Spread the word and tag a friend who belongs on the sidelines!

Did you know North Carolina is the very first state to put together a dedicated band for children of military families? This past Saturday, students from across the state gathered to rehearse for 8 hours and deliver a truly beautiful performance!
We are incredibly honored to share that 16 students from WCPS participated, with 7 of those talented musicians representing Norwayne!

A huge congratulations to our All-County Band members! Last week, they joined 75 other top musicians from across Wayne County at Dillard Middle School for an intensive two-day clinic.
After hours of hard work and dedication, they put on a truly beautiful concert. We are so proud of how you represented Norwayne with your talent and professionalism!

Thursday, our Cobra Jazz Band performed at Jazz Fest along with Eastern Wayne HS, CBA, WCC Choir, and the Starlight Dance Band! It was an amazing evening with a packed auditorium!
Friday and Saturday, Abram Edwards represented Norwayne Middle School and Wayne County at All State Jazz Band! The event was held at NC State and concluded with an outstanding performance!
We're so proud of our Cobras!
