Our NMS Choral Department is raising funds to help off-set the costs of future educational travels for this spring semester. Our program is heavily involved in local, state, and regional choral competitions and honors programs. Next week is National FFA Week. In honor of it, the Norwayne FFA Chapter is taking donations for the Wayne County Animal Shelter. Donations can be dropped off in Mrs. Murphy's room February 20th-23rd.


The WCPS Performing Arts Departments will be holding a benefit concert at the Paramount this Thursday! All money raised will go directly back into the performing arts classrooms. The best part, the teachers will be doing the performing this time!
Our own Mrs. Jarrett will be performing My Funny Valentine on trumpet!

Congratulations to Ava C, Jovany M, and Noah T.! They have been participating in the Eastern District Band event at ECU this weekend! With only 12 hours of rehearsals with other students across our district, they performed an amazing concert this evening in the Wright Auditorium on ECUs campus.

Olivia Spence won the invented instrument competition at the 2023 STEAM Festival. The annual STEAM Festival offered by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is an educational event showcasing the innovative possibilities of the combined learning disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. The public is invited to experience concepts that direct the research and application methods of STEAM development. The 5th-8th Grade Musical Instrument Display will showcase students’ competency of the principles of STEAM exploration in real-life applications. The musical instruments will be fully functional and interactive by the public.
