Our Better Together Club is promoting Unity Day again this school year. Unity Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 18. It is the main event of National Bullying Prevention Month and has been recognized here in the United States since 2011. Bullying affects our students within, and outside of, our public schools daily. On this day we will ask that everyone (staff and students) wear orange. This will be a visible sign to show our unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion of all. To show that no child should ever experience bullying and we stand against it!

LAST WEEK - This is the last week to sign up for our Better Together Club. Please get forms and money in by Friday. Thanks
We will be continuing the Better Together club here at Norwayne Middle School this year. We will meet every month on the first and third Friday of the month. We will meet in the Library at 7:30 a.m. on meeting days. We will begin with our first meeting on Friday, October 6. The advisors for this club are Mrs. Coor, Ms. Bryant, Mrs. Kilgore, and Mrs. Kissanne.
The Better Together is an inclusive club. We want our students with disabilities (EC students) to recognize their abilities and feel valued and respected. We also want to provide an opportunity for students with, and without, disabilities to come together and learn from each other. To open their minds and hearts to all others within their school. We want to create a school culture and environment in which everyone, no matter their academic, physical, mental, or social abilities, will feel included and accepted as the unique individual they are. A club in which we can not only value each other's differences, but we can learn from each other and help others learn and accept those differences too. Our goal is to spread kindness, acceptance, and inclusion throughout this entire campus.
Our club members will come together each month to socialize, plan, organize school activities/campaigns, play games, and other interactive activities.
Students who would like to join the club can pick up a packet from the front office or any of the advisors. Please have them return the completed forms and dues to any of the advisors by Friday, September 29.
Football wins!!!
