Olivia Spence won the invented instrument competition at the 2023 STEAM Festival. The annual STEAM Festival offered by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is an educational event showcasing the innovative possibilities of the combined learning disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. The public is invited to experience concepts that direct the research and application methods of STEAM development. The 5th-8th Grade Musical Instrument Display will showcase students’ competency of the principles of STEAM exploration in real-life applications. The musical instruments will be fully functional and interactive by the public.

April is Autism Awareness Month and our Better Together Club is sponsoring an awareness/acceptance event during the month. As a part of our event, we are ordering shirts. We will all wear the shirts at school on a certain day every week during the month of April. We invite our fellow staff members, club members, students, and community members to purchase one to wear with us.
The shirt this year is black and comes in youth sizes small-large and adult sizes small-5X. The price is $7.95 per shirt plus any additional cost for larger sizes: $4 for 2X, $5 for 3X, $5 for 4X, $5 for 5X. If 12 or more shirts are ordered, we will get free personalization on the sleeve with our school name.
When ordering, please put your child’s name instead of your name, on the order form so that we know who to give the shirts to. All orders will ship together to the school to be distributed by the club advisors to each student who orders.
The deadline for this shirt is Thursday, February 08. To order a shirt, please click on this link: https://sharedorder.com/LU50804.
If you have any questions please let us know.

New Week, New News!

Starting next week!!!

Members of our Better Together Club are participating in a fundraiser to raise money for water bottle filling stations to place throughout our campus. We hope to raise funds to purchase one for each grade level hallway and one for the cafeteria. We have chosen to do an Adopt-A-Square fundraiser to collect the funds needed to fund our project. Donors choose any square they would like to adopt and donate that specified amount of money. We would love the support from our school and community to reach our goal. If you would like to donate, please reach out to one of our club members or any one of the advisors. Our advisors are Ms. A. Bryant, Mrs. J. Coor, Mrs. T. Kilgore, Mrs. K. Kissane, and Mrs. C. Michalek.
