Northwest Elementary is the second-largest elementary school in Wayne County.  We serve approximately 780 students in grades K - 5.  We are located near the towns of Pikeville, Fremont, and Goldsboro (please click here for a map).  Many of our students come from military families stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro.  All students are provided with art, P.E., music, computer, media, and guidance classes. Our cafeteria provides breakfast and lunch.  We have two playgrounds on campus, and as a full community school, we have baseball and soccer fields used by the Northwest Youth Sports Association. 

Our school has Chromebooks for 1:1 computing for students to access digital classroom materials, digital textbook resources and access the internet.  We have wireless capability, 6 mobile carts with iPads available for students, and a cart of laptops.  Additionally, all homeroom classes have Brightlinks, Apple T.V.s, and document cameras. Each certified staff member has an iPad or touchscreen Chromebook for instructional use. We are constantly striving to better our students, and this year 4th and 5th-grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Ambassadors Club. Northwest prides itself on being a big family with high expectations.
