Charles B. Aycock High School freshman Kannyn Fail and junior Madison Smith won three matches this weekend at the annual Eastern 3-A Regional Women's Tennis Tournament at North Carolina Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount to improve to 10-4 on the season. Fail and Smith were seeded fourth in doubles. They will represent the Lady Golden Falcons at the annual NCHSAA State Championships next Friday and Saturday at the Burlington Tennis Center. Congratulations and good luck at States!!! Go FALCONS!!!

Epsilon Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, alongside WCPS, and the Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni and Friends and I.Rise.Above LLC will be sponsoring a workshop on Saturday, October 26 from 1-4pm at the Neal Stitt building. The next drivers education class will be held at Goldsboro High School in the school cafeteria from 8 am to 2 pm. Classes are October 19, 26, November 2, 9, and 16. The classes are by sign up only on the Wayne County Public Schools website. A student must be 14 1/2 on the first day of class. When the class is closed an email will be sent out to the student to inform them they successfully got in the class.
