Greetings Spring Creek Middle School Community,
We are excited to announce our upcoming Open House event, which will take place on August 23, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to connect with our school, meet our dedicated staff, and learn more about our plans for the upcoming school year.
Event Details:
1. The Open House will be an all-day event, and we are offering four separate induction meetings to accommodate everyone's schedule. These induction meetings will be held at the following times: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.
2. In preparation for the event, your child's homeroom teacher will be reaching out to you via Talking Points or telephone. They will schedule an appointment time for your family. We kindly request that both the student and one parent/guardian attend the event together. Our staff will be making contact for appointment scheduling on Thursday, August 17, and Friday, August 18. Please note that Dr. Keel had sent a Talking Points message during the week of August 7, 2023, informing parents of this upcoming contact.
3. Our dedicated teams are working diligently to ensure a smooth induction process. Your respective team will decide whether the induction meetings will be conducted separately in homerooms or as a collective grade-level team of two or three educators.
4. Teachers will present a presentation that will help parents gain insights into the expectations of the school and the unique aspects of each grade level and classroom.
5. All parents are requested to gather in the Auditorium at their assigned time. Here, they will have the opportunity to participate in a brief Title I presentation and learn more about the PTA. This segment will last approximately 10 – 15 minutes. Afterward, parents will proceed to their respective grade-level team meetings.
