WCPS Superintendent to host special budget presentation event at Maxwell Center
Goldsboro, N.C. - In three weeks, Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) superintendent, Dr. Marc Whichard, will host a special community event at the Maxwell Center to present the school district’s 2024-2025 local budget.
“We are inviting community members, business leaders, nonprofit leaders, parent organizations, civic groups, Base leadership, elected officials, and area news media to join me at the Maxwell Center for this special county-wide event,” states Dr. Whichard. “As part of my presentation, I will share what our school district’s needs are and what I plan to request from the Wayne County Board of Commissioners for next year’s local budget appropriation. I will also share my vision and plans for making every school one where all families want to send their children to learn and grow.”
The WCPS Superintendent’s special budget presentation event will be held on February 29 at 6:00 PM at the Maxwell Center, located at 114 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro.

This week we celebrate National School Counselor Week! We truly appreciate all of the hard work that Mrs. Gladys Diggs, Mrs. Renee Dilda, and Ms. LaShonda Payne do for our students everyday!
We are Block scheduled this week with 90 minute classes and a 10 minute homeroom each day.
On Tuesday, we will hold our next College Day and we encourage everyone to wear their favorite college gear as we continue to celebrate our college and career going culture at CBA!
Winter Sports Team photos will be held on Thursday and Herff Jones will also be on campus on Thursday to deliver Senior Class rings.
We will wrap up another busy week with our Sadie Hawkins Dance on Saturday, 2.10.24 from 8:00 to 10:00 PM in the New Gym.
