Congratulations to Coach Laura Romo and our Girls Basketball team and Coaches who won our Conference Tournament Championship last night! Good Luck in the state playoffs! Congratulations to Coach AJ Mundle and our Boys Basketball team and Coaches who finished as Conference Tournament Runner-ups! Job Well done by Mrs. Karen Cox and our FFA students with this past week's FFA Week! Our FFA Career Fair was a huge success! We also had a successful Spring Sports Parents Meeting this past week and are now looking forward to our Spring Sports seasons! Good Luck to our DECA Students who will travel to Greensboro this week for our State Competition! Please join us on Thursday this week at 6:00 PM at the Maxwell Center for our WCPS Superintendent Dr. Marc Whichard's Budget presentation! This is very important to the future of every student in the Wayne County Public Schools system so all are encouraged to attend. On Friday at 6:00 PM, we will have Movie Night at CBA in our New Gym. For Immediate Release Date: Friday, February 9, 2024 WCPS Superintendent to host special budget presentation event at Maxwell Center Goldsboro, N.C. - In three weeks, Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) superintendent, Dr. Marc Whichard, will host a special community event at the Maxwell Center to present the school district’s 2024-2025 local budget. “We are inviting community members, business leaders, nonprofit leaders, parent organizations, civic groups, Base leadership, elected officials, and area news media to join me at the Maxwell Center for this special county-wide event,” states Dr. Whichard. “As part of my presentation, I will share what our school district’s needs are and what I plan to request from the Wayne County Board of Commissioners for next year’s local budget appropriation. I will also share my vision and plans for making every school one where all families want to send their children to learn and grow.” The WCPS Superintendent’s special budget presentation event will be held on February 29 at 6:00 PM at the Maxwell Center, located at 114 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro. ## (For more information, please contact Ken Derksen at 919-705-6125)

We truly appreciate all of the hard work that Mrs. Gladys Diggs, Mrs. Renee Dilda, and Ms. LaShonda Payne do for our students everyday! We are Block scheduled this week with 90 minute classes and a 10 minute homeroom each day. On Tuesday, we will hold our next College Day and we encourage everyone to wear their favorite college gear as we continue to celebrate our college and career going culture at CBA! Winter Sports Team photos will be held on Thursday and Herff Jones will also be on campus on Thursday to deliver Senior Class rings.
