WCPS Nov. Mentor Spotlight! Dr. Tony Coggins of CBA High School

Congratulations to Dr. Coggins for being selected as the Mentor Spotlight for November. This is what some of the BTs had to say about their mentor.

“Mr. Coggins really cares and takes time away from his busy schedule to help us succeed and know there is always someone there to call on with any dilemma we may be experiencing. He sends out a weekly check in email just to see how he can help and just to ask how we are feeling that week. He is great!” BTCBA

“I could not survive this without the grounded and encouraging energy that Dr. Coggins has provided. He has been a sounding board, a cheerleader, a 'Coach', a mentor, and a friend...He listens intently and has an eloquent way of calming the storm, redirecting focus, and supplying sure footing for next steps. I am so appreciative of his influence in my teacher transformation.” BT- CBA

“Mr. Coggins truly cares about helping us as new teachers in any way he can. Whether it be offering to help us out in the classroom during his planning time, or just to listen while we vent, he is always there. He checks in with us on a regular basis by stopping by our room or sending a weekly email. He always has a smile and positive encouragement.” BT-CBA
