ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Charles B. Aycock High School Lady Golden Falcons rolled to an 8-1 victory at West Carteret (12-3) at Fort Benjamin Park in Newport on Wednesday afternoon in the second round of the NCHSAA 3-A dual team women's tennis state playoffs. Two of the biggest wins of the day came in the third-set tie breakers from seniors Maya Pitt at number five singles and Aubrey Edmundson at number six singles. The Lady Golden Falcons, now 23-2 overall, will play at Rocky Mount Senior High School on Monday, October 28th in the sweet sixteen.

Winter Athletic Parent/Player Meeting - Monday, Nov. 4
Attention all Winter Athletes and parents Monday, Nov. 4th will be the CBA Winter Athletica Parent/Player meeting in the New Gym. The meeting for all NEW athletes will begin at 6:00pm If your athlete played a fall sport, your meeting will begin at 6:30pm Any questions? Please contact Coach Horton at johnhorton@wcps.org

Kelsie Johnson - Role Play Section Winner, Top 10 test score, and 4th place overall in Principles of Entrepreneurship
Addison Smith - Top 10 test score, 4th place overall in Quick Serve Restaurant Management
Addison Artis - Role Play Section Winner in Principles of Marketing
Lizzie Fredericks - Role Play Section Winner, 6th place overall in Quick Serve Restaurant Management
Abigayle Abrams - Role Play Section Winner in Principles of Entrepreneurship
Emanuel Bocaneara Zaratula - 9th place overall in Principles of Entrepreneurship
We are very proud of these students and their accomplishments and we are excited to compete at the state competition in February!
Congratulations to four of our teachers for being selected to receive Bright Idea Grants from the Tri-County Electric Corporation. Mr. Zietlow, Ms. Frederick, Ms. Neider and Ms. Grimes were each selected for an individual grant out of 319 applications. Way to go FALCONS!!
