Hello Golden Falcons Family:
As we inch closer to the start of our 2023-24 school year, I want to take time to review some very important expectations we have for our CBA Golden Falcons:
Cell Phones and Personal Electronic Devices:
Please note that this year, students will not be allowed to use cell phones and/or personal electronic devices at any point during the school day. No Cellphones should be visible at any point during the school day and will be confiscated and returned to the parents if a student does not meet this expectation. This includes Lunch, transitions between class, and during the instructional time of our school day. This will be a foundational cornerstone for our school's success.
A Safe and Respectful Learning Environment:
We will maintain our high expectations for our students to act in an appropriate manner for our high quality educational environment. Students who can not act in an appropriate manner will be assigned appropriate disciplinary consequences for their actions and inappropriate behavior. This will be a foundational cornerstone for our school's success.
Attendance:
Research shows that students who attend school perform better in their academic pursuits, therefore we will continue to place a premium on student attendance. Last year our student attendance rate was 93.3 %, but we strive for a 97% or higher attendance rate and need your help in reaching our standard this year. This will be a foundational cornerstone for our school's success.
Protecting Instructional Time:
We also place a premium on protecting instructional time for our students and teachers, therefore, we will limit intercom announcements and classroom disruptions, to include an emphasis on our No Tardy Policy to protect the educational opportunity of all of our students during instructional time. We expect high quality teaching and learning from bell to bell for every student, in every class, every day! This will be a foundational cornerstone for our school's success.
