Title I Funding
Carver Heights Elementary is a Title I School. This means we received additional federal funding which supplements the educational program. Carver Heights Elementary follows the "whole school model." This means that our whole school benefits from the additional funding. This often covers parent engagement resources/events, additional staffing, and educational resources. Our Title I Coordinator and Instructional Coach is Brittany Beasley. You can reach Ms. Beasley at 919-731-7222, Class Dojo, or by email at brittanybeasley@wcps.org if you have any questions.
Parent Engagement Policy
Carver Heights Elementary adheres to the philosophy that parental engagement is essential in the total teaching and learning process of children. An Annual Title I public meeting is held at the start of the school year to discuss our school wide project, federal regulations, and requirements as it relates to our Title I program and parents’ rights to be involved. School-Parent Compact Agreements will be sent home that outline how parents, school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student achievement.
Carver Heights Elementary provides the following parental engagement activities:
A Parent Resource Center equipped with materials (books, kits, games, etc.) that parents may check out to use with their child.
