WCPS has partnered with The Young Group to offer secondary student accident insurance to parents. WCPS carries a small amount on each student in case of an accident while participating in a school supervised activity. This insurance is secondary to any primary coverage the student may already have.
This is additional coverage, if parents wish to enroll their student at the parent/guardian's expense. This is optional and separate from the small accident and catastrophic policy that the district pays for. The enrollment forms are only if parents wish to purchase additional insurance for their student .
Any questions from parents will need to be directed to the insurance provider. (www.k12studentinsurance.com)
Claim forms are for any parent wishing to make a claim due to an accident at school. Remember this only covers school supervised activities only. The signature of the school official will be that of the supervising coach, teacher or administrator.
If a parent wishes to make a claim during the upcoming year, follow the directions and contact the insurance company directly for any questions or concerns to verify coverage or to make the claim.
