The Wayne County Board of Education is accepting letters of interest and resumes to fill a vacancy in one of the four positions appointed by the Board of Education to serve on the Wayne Community College (WCC) Board of Trustees. The term of office is four years, expiring June 30, 2027. Regular meetings of the WCC Board of Trustees are held on the fourth Tuesday during the months of January, March, May, July, September and November at 6 PM at WCC. The Wayne County Board of Education plans to appoint an individual to the WCC Board of Trustees at a Board of Education Special Called Meeting on September 25, 2023, in the Boardroom of the WCPS Central Services located at 2001 E. Royall Avenue in Goldsboro.

The deadline to submit the required documentation is 5 PM on September 22, 2023. Please include in your letter of interest, the reasons why you aspire to be appointed and the skills you will bring to the WCC Board of Trustees. The Board of Education will review all documentation that is submitted. All applicants should plan to attend the September 25 meeting, beginning at 1 PM, for a potential interview.
