Hello, my name is Guile J. Contreras or Mr. Contreras (CONE-TREY-RAS), and I am the School Counselor of SCMS. I look forward to meeting you and your student(s) and to helping your student(s) achieve their academic goals for this school year.

As a School Counselor, I promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. Counseling activities can include short-term individual counseling, group counseling, and guidance lessons. By participating in these activities, students learn positive character traits, how to properly interact with peers and adults, gain confidence in themselves, healthy coping skills, and how to resolve issues constructively.

All students have the opportunity to meet with me, as needed. A student can request to meet with me, or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent. If you have concerns regarding your child, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
