I am excited to be a part of the Eagle Family!  I look forward to working with the students, teachers, families, and community to help Rosewood Middle be the best school in Wayne County.  I believe in building and sustaining relationships.  These relationships are what help our students be successful.  I also believe in putting our students first.  They are why we do what we do everyday.  At Rosewood Middle School we will “Nurture, Engage, and Achieve”.

My name is Leatrice Reid-Kenion, I am thrilled to serve the Rosewood Community. I have worked in the community for almost 30 years. 

I began my career as an Instructional Assistant at Rosewood Elementary. Later, I returned to school to earn a Bachelor of Arts in K-6 Elementary Education degree with a concentration in Special Education K-12 from Barton University . I taught fourth grade for 17 years. Realizing I wanted to be an educational leader, I decided to return to Gardner Webb University to obtain my Masters in Educational Leadership. Since 2021, I have been at Rosewood Middle School serving as the Assistant Principal. 

The Rosewood community has always been a very close knit community who support their members and schools. It has always been a pleasure to serve in this community.
