Welcome Back Chargers! We are excited to begin the 2023-2024 school year. We are on the rise academically, and our teachers, students, parents, and community, should be proud of our progress.

We continue to hold all of our staff and students to high expectations, and we want to ensure that we continue to CHARGE! This year our theme is “Charging to Excellence”. We are already off to a good start, and I know we will go to even greater heights this school year. We look forward to a new school year full of Charger Pride and Excellence!

Parents and Students,

Make sure to adhere to these board policies, as we prepare to have a great school year. It is important that we all understand the expectations and policies set forth by WCPS.

Board Policy Priorities:

Policy 4318 – Cell phones will not be visible during the school day.

Policy 4300 – A uniform discipline guide/matrix will be developed and used by all administrators in the building to promote an orderly environment and ensure consistency to policy.

Policy 4305 – There will be no hats, hoods or headgear inside the building.

Educationally yours,

Edward E. Cromartie, Jr.

Dear Families,

I am incredibly excited to continue to serve the Mount Olive Middle School Community as the Assistant Principal.  Mr. Cromartie and I will continue the work of advocating for and providing all students and families with an educational experience where values and diversity are celebrated. I am committed to working alongside Mr. Cromartie - as we continue to provide leadership and build a structure of collaborative relationships in the school and community -  so that ALL students have a variety of opportunities to succeed!

We are all here to learn together.  It is our shared goal at Mount Olive Middle School to provide a safe and nurturing educational environment that challenges our students to reach beyond their expectations.  More importantly, we strive for our students to become lifelong learners who will make the world a better place. I am excited about the possibilities that this school year will bring and am proud to be part of this school community.

"Unity is strength...when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."  Mattie J.T. Stepanek
