The center corridor of Berkeley Mall is now an art gallery displaying student artwork.
The district’s annual Art Exhibition opened last Wednesday and will be displayed through Saturday, March 18. Students, grades K-12, from each of the district’s 32 schools will display hundreds of student exhibits in a multitude of art forms.
“Our art teachers are excited to display the talents and abilities of some of the most promising and creative art students in the district,” states Kim Copeland, WCPS Director Specialist. “We would encourage those in the community who have not already seen the exhibition to stop by and get a firsthand look at the innovative projects our art teachers are having students complete in the area of art expression.”
Organizers state that art is an important aspect of a child’s academic curriculum, and appreciate the Berkeley Mall for allowing students to present their work to the public.
