This week, Wayne County Public Schools launched a new online hiring process for prospective employees. Utilizing a new online application platform called "People Admin" (formerly known as NC School Jobs), the district will provide applicants an innovative and streamlined process to search and apply for posted vacancies.
“We are excited to offer applicants an enhanced and user friendly system when applying for positions and career opportunities within our district,” states Dr. Yvette Smith Mason, WCPS Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. “Applicants can now go to our website, search our new online Job Board for vacancies, and then setup an account in People Admin to complete their application and upload any required documents.”
Once a People Admin account is setup, applicants will be able to access their account from any device that is connected to the internet. They will be able to apply for one or multiple job openings. They will also receive notices that their application has been received and/or if a position becomes filled. If an applicant does not get hired, their People Admin account and application information will remain active and they will be able to update information within their account when applying for other WCPS job openings.
The People Admin application platform is hosted by TeacherMatch. Applicants who do not have online access are encouraged to go to the following locations:

In addition to the benefits for applicants, district administrators believe the move to People Admin will greatly reduce the amount of time and manpower it takes to process applications.
“Until now, our HR staff has been receiving countless applications and other required documents in a myriad of hardcopy and electronic formats,” states Dr. Mason. “With People Admin, it does not matter if you are a prospective teacher or custodian, all applicants will go to the same online application site and our HR staff can access their materials with a few simple clicks.”
