WCPS Holds Annual Title I Student Recognition Program

The theme for this year’s event was, “Characteristics of a Champion.” Essay and poster winners from each school were presented first, second, and third place medals.

“This annual event is a wonderful way to recognize the high quality of work that our students can create,” states Dr. Carol Artis, WCPS Executive Director of C&I and Federal Programs. “We appreciate all of the students for their hard work and for their willingness to share their talents through this annual essay and poster competition. Ms. Beverly Kee [WCPS Assistant Director of Federal Programs] and Caroline Brown [WCPS Title I Parent Facilitator/Compliance Specialist] facilitated an outstanding event for students and parents.”

The district’s Title I Celebration was held in the Dillard Middle Auditorium.
