"School Days" host, Ken Derksen, interviews Glenda Crocker,
WCPS 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year.
On May 26, 2013, Wayne County Public Schools began airing its first ever locally produced weekly educational cable television program, called School Days.
The School Days program is a 30 minute talk show style program, which has three segments that address pertinent topics to parents, students, and educators. The show is aired on the Wayne County Education Alliance Channel, or the WCEA Channel, which is located on Time Warner Cables Channel 18 and operated by the school district.
Wayne County Public Schools is excited to launch this weekly educational cable program, states Dr. Steven Taylor. Each week, School Days will provide important education information and resources for our school communities. We would even encourage those who do not have children in our schools to tune in and learn more about whats happening across the district.
Each School Days episode will air for the first time on Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. They will then be replayed every Tuesday and Thursday at the same time. Shows will also be replayed in the morning at 6:30 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
